Our History

Jewellery by Vana is a legacy of artistry and craftsmanship, with roots that trace back over a century in India. As a fourth-generation jeweler, Shruthi is stepping into the shoes of her ancestors, carrying forward a family tradition that has specialized in gold jewelry for over a hundred years.

Driven by ambition and creativity, Shruthi joined the family business in 2018, receiving invaluable training under the guidance of her grandfather, father, and uncle. This hands-on experience equipped her with the knowledge and skills essential for the jewelry business, coupled with a commitment to continuous learning.

Note from the Founder

Growing up in India, I was immersed in a world where jewelry was deeply cherished and celebrated. From family heirlooms to traditional ceremonies, I was constantly surrounded by the beauty and significance of jewelry in our culture.


Yet, As a child, I was never particularly fond of jewelry. I often felt that the yellow tones of gold and the silvery hues of silver simply didn’t suit me. It seemed as though the world of jewelry was vast and elusive, and I struggled to find my place within it. As I grew older, my feelings towards jewelry began to change. During this journey, I began to develop a personal style that resonated deeply with me.

I found myself drawn to pieces that spoke to my heritage while also embracing contemporary aesthetics. What once seemed like an overwhelming expanse of choices transformed into a world of possibilities, each piece telling its own unique story.


It was this journey that ignited my passion and inspired me to create Jewellery by Vana. I
wanted to craft pieces that not only celebrate traditional craftsmanship but also embrace contemporary elegance. My aim is to offer designs that speak to diverse tastes and backgrounds, reflecting the beauty and individuality of every wearer. Through Jewellery by Vana, I hope to share the transformative power of jewelry with you—pieces that not only complement your style but also become a cherished part of your story.

The name Vana holds a special place in my heart, as it is a shortened form of my mother’s
name, Vanaja. Even though she is no longer with me, her presence and spirit continue to guide and inspire me every day. Naming my jewelry business after her is a way to keep her close and make her a part of this new chapter in my life.
